The purpose of this profile is to inform and assist in data-driven state- and community-level planning and decision-making processes relevant to substance use and mental health issues across the State of Rhode Island. It provides a user-friendly and comprehensive set of key indicators describing the magnitude and distribution of: substance use consumption patterns, as well as their negative consequences across various populations; potential risk and protective factors associated with substance use and mental illness; and mental and behavioral health outcomes across the state of RI.
