This three day presentation (November 3rd-5th) will focus on individualizing treatment using ASAM criteria to assist in determining appropriate levels of care. Counseling theories will be reviewed along with related techniques. It will address customizing treatment to specific populations and incorporating treatment goals in the clients own words. Medication assisted treatment will be discussed along with working with individuals with co-occurring disorders. The training will conclude with a review of the process of continued care planning, care management, and referrals. Community resources, consultation, and clinician self-care will also be topics of discussion.
